I help individuals and couples with issues such as anxiety, self-esteem difficulties, depression, relationship problems, and a host of other issues.

In my approach to helping people through psychotherapy I do not only focus on helping you to feel better in the moment (which is important), but I also focus on helping you resolve the root causes of your difficulties. My approach aims to address the very root causes, the very engine of your psychological pain, not just the branches, or the symptoms.

I am one of very few therapists in Arizona trained in Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP), an evidenced based model that when practiced with skill, flexibility, and compassion, holds out tremendous and possibly unparalleled potential for healing and growth. ISTDP is an attachment-centered model that at its core is about emotional intimacy and closeness, and repairing the wounds caused by relational ruptures.

My work is also skills-based, which means that when your difficulties are relationship oriented, you will leave with understandings and concrete skills aimed at improving the odds that you will get your needs met in your relationships.
