Have you ever had the experience of feeling deeply heard and understood by another person? Many people long for this when they are having challenges that seem overwhelming. If you can find someone to do this for you it can be life changing. You have a unique story to tell. I am interested in learning about it and finding out what will be most helpful for you at this time. You will be able to learn new tools to help you with your struggles while you also find ways to use your strengths. There will be opportunities for you to take part in the process of creating goals and deciding what methods work best for you. I can help you find ways to stay more balanced and manage stress in your life. I have great respect and compassion for the people I get a chance to help.

More Info About My Practice

I enjoy helping people develop greater self-esteem and relationship skills. I have worked with grief and loss in many settings including on-site crisis situations. Some of my work has taken me to hospice care environments with individuals and their families, which has given me further experience with end of life issues. I often find that the people I work with find purpose and meaning in their lives even after difficult things have happened. I invite you to look at my website for more detailed information about my background, specialties, and fees.

What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist

What I love most about being a therapist is being able to watch the wonderful changes that can happen during a course of treatment. The first session usually starts with someone in an uncomfortable or painful situation that seems like more than he or she can handle at the time. In later sessions or near the end of a process, I am able to witness people who have learned new tools, have greater self-awareness, and often like themselves more. I never stop being amazed when people reach this place.

It is a privilege to work with people that are willing to make a commitment to the process of counseling and self-growth. When they choose to do this for themselves, they are also helping the people they will encounter in the many parts of their lives. The healthier we become as individuals the more we can contribute to our society as a whole. I love this work and having the chance to contribute to the bigger picture of the mental health field.
