"Every person deserves to have a happy and fulfilling life."

Unfortunately life's challenges, stressors, and even people (yourself included) get in the way of achieving a fulfilling life. When issues pile on top of each other, this pressure can make life unbearable. Whether you are suffering from depression, anxiety, or relationship issues making the decision to seek help for this can be hard, but it's the first step to getting better. Therapy is about creating a safe and non-judgmental space where you can explore and relieve these pressures in order to heal.

Together, we will create a partnership focused upon healing. As a team, we will establish clear goals and immediately begin working to achieve them. Therapy does not need to be dark or mysterious. In fact, it can be invigorating and empowering. My approach is to identify your personal strengths and support you in utilizing these strengths to overcome life's challenges. My role as your Therapist is to meet you on your level, and assist you in reaching the next level.

Serving the following communities: Oswego, Naperville, Lisle, Aurora, Warrenville, Woodbridge, Wheaton, Bolingbrook, and beyond....

More Info About My Practice

As a former administrator for a group of therapeutic day schools for youth with emotional and behavioral disabilities, I am also very comfortable working with youth and families. One of my passions is ensuring that youth in the school system are treated as young adults, and not as problems or disorders. IEP and other educational meetings can be intimidating, so please let me know if I can help you navigate it.

I currently have both day and evening appointments available. I accept most major insurance.

My Role as a Therapist

I believe my role as a therapist is to empower and support you. Therapy should be a partnership between you and the therapist, but with differing responsibilities. It does not need to be a dark and mysterious process. It can be empowering, insightful, and positive.

What I Say to People Concerned about the Therapy Process

Being nervous or anxious about coming to Therapy is normal. In fact, I would be worried if you were not nervous. All that tells me is you are going to take the process seriously. In seeking to change your current situation, you may have to step outside of your comfort zone a little. It is ok, to do this at your own pace.

Remember that the therapeutic process is nothing more than a specific type of conversation. To begin, you should feel free to share as much or as little as you feel comfortable.
