Congratulations on taking the first step towards finding the peace you seek. Therapy is the best gift you can possibly give to yourself. How often do you really reflect on your life, relationships, and behaviors? Together in therapy, we will work towards discovering your ultimate life goals and what motivates your life choices. We will then work towards modifying unwanted behaviors or thoughts (hopelessness, anxiety, lack of motivation, constant arguing) by redirecting and challenging motivators.

As we move through our life, I believe the unchanging factor is that: Life Happens. Life can bring joyous transitions such as moving states, getting married, or starting a family - OR life brings us a painful loss including the death of a loved one, the loss of a job, or a chronic life-changing diagnosis. With either occasion, a process of change needs to occur in order move forward and reach your goals. In our work together, we will sort through the variety emotions that come with life.

I am sure most people have walked into a doctors office with a true concern, and have walked out even more confused or even scared. At that point, you can either go with their \'orders\' and accept it or you can seek a second opinion. I hope that when choosing a therapist, you always seek a second opinion if you do not feel comfortable with them by the end of the first session.

How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist

Short answer is \"YES\". To get myself through my personal struggles, I learned and explored everything there was/is to know those areas. I used it to work through my own \'stuff\' and now use the knowledge I gained to help others move forward through their \'stuff\'. I don\'t know if it makes me a better therapist, but it is what pushed me to be an expert in certain specialties.
