You can, quite possibly, come home to who you were meant to be, evolving past who you had to be-to fit in. This is freedom in it's truest sense.
Beyond trying to manage old patterns or triggers, I help people root out the actual sabotaging blocks that created these patterns to begin with.
Many people, even very high functioning people, can suffer from low self-worth, the tyranny of perfectionism or feeling stuck in relationships patterns that contribute to anxiety, depression and not meeting their potential.
I work with adults and couples. Generally I use mindful focused awareness to work with the mind-body connection where key material is stored. What often results is old perceptions and impulsive reactions are replaced with greater clarity, self-compassion and empowerment.
In addition to helping people switch off dysfunctional patterns, I also specialize in trauma, PTSD, anxiety and addictions.

More Info About My Practice
I am warm, gentle and regularly use humor. My style is active and my client is a co-therapist.
I use Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, a leading edge therapy raved about by experts for it's effectiveness. I also use EMDR and Buddhist Psychology--also effective for growth and healing.
What I Usually Need to Know to Help
Treatment goals focus on qualities, or outcomes, that a client hopes to experience such as greater happiness, confidence or self-mastery. Even though our work uses present moment experience, we make room for childhood influences, or events, to surface as well.
My View on the Nature of 'Disorders'
I view "Disorders" as strategies to navigate difficult situations as children. Because they are easily overwhelmed, and not fully logical, their coping methods can be unwieldy-such as getting angry when actually feeling sad. Unfortunately, these strategies endure long beyond their usefulness. These ways of coping get "wired" in. The work is to reverse and update this "wiring."
