My practice focuses on wellness, not pathology....I consider the therapeutic process as a profound exploration of sorts, where you grow to better understand yourself and work through the conflicts which block your happiness, your becoming your most authentic self.
As both a grief counselor and psychotherapist, I enjoy accompanying adults as they address the ups and downs of life--its losses and transitions (illness, death, miscarriage, separation/divorce, infertility, retirement, suicide, unemployment, aging with dignity, anticipatory grief or the death of a beloved pet). And I have a sincere passion in seeing people come out on the other side, where they find greater peace in their lives.
With training in psychodynamic psychotherapy, guided imagery, spirituality and Mindfulness, I also bring a rich lived experience from having worked in the corporate world in New York City.
My style is collaborative, interactive, empathetic and curious (and occasionally humorous). Working together in a safe, welcoming, non-judging space and utilizing a holistic (body-mind) therapeutic approach helps you let go of your unproductive behaviors and attitudes as you create new, healthier ways of being and relating.
I have the deepest respect for, and learn from, people as they grapple with the heartfelt challenges of making meaningful changes in their lives.
