My dedication and love for helping people achieve inner happiness and peace what brings me to you, today. Instead of taking a deficit "something's wrong with you" view, we'll focus on what's right, and let your strengths lead you toward growth, and the creation of new positive behaviors and actions. Through this positive dynamic, counseling becomes a holistic, person centered process that allows for self-discovery, healing, and restoring your well-being. As a counselor who's compassionate, empathic and positive, I'll help you navigate through life's struggles using a variety of approaches to help you achieve your personal counseling goals in a method and manner that fits your personality, strengths, and lifestyle. The benefits of therapy are vast; through the therapeutic process one learns more about themselves, how to communicate their needs better, developing radical acceptance, and ultimately a reduction of emotional and physical symptoms of distress. Psychotherapy is much bigger value and health benefit for healing your mind, body and soul than a day at the spa will do for you. Invest in yourself, you're worth it!

More Info About My Practice

Counseling is offered across settings: Online video and chat, telephone and In-person. I believe that therapy should take place in a space that feels safe to you; that can be in the office, your home or a quiet setting like the Library, which offers several convenient locations and private room space. Some people choose their living room, others feel most comfortable out with mother nature, and some desire to be in their place of worship. My professional fees are $150 per hour. I do take in network and out of network coverage. I accept debit/credit, HSA and Flex, most insurances, cash, and paypal.

Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed

Often times the internet, social media and media outlets lead us to believe that seeing a therapist means that you have a stigmatizing illness that needs "fixed". This is simply not true - lots of happy, successful people come to therapy for reasons other having a diagnosis. Sometimes that's self exploration, or to have a collaborating 3rd party ( the counselor) to discuss dilemmas, personality and relationship struggles, life's stressors and to foster internal growth and personal insight. Other times, there is distress to one's mental health, and symptoms they wish to resolve; also seeking internal growth and life change. Simply put, therapy does not need to be seen as a sign of weakness, but a sign of strength: a desire to change your life, to grow, and improve wellbeing. No matter what the reason you are seeking counseling, it takes strength within ourselves to seek out assistance in meeting those goals.
