I offer a very present and intuitive style. I believe that each individual has an inner knowing and I trust this as we work collaboratively to support growth, emotional healing work and transformative processes. I have a holistic and integrative style drawing on several approaches to assist in what you may uniquely want at this time. I consider mind, body, and spirit in our work together. People often reflect that they feel safe and comfortable talking with me and that I am warm and compassionate by nature. I value body oriented awareness and mindfulness practices within my work and hold special interest in trauma sensitive work. I utilize EMDR, when appropriate, which can be useful for several issues that arise in life. Areas of focus include personal growth, increased awareness, life transitions/transformations, grief/loss, trauma, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, stress, codependency, chemical dependency/recovery issues, relationship concerns, and spirituality. I hold certification in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy Trauma Training, certification in mindfulness training, certification as a yoga instructor, Nia White Belt certification, and certification as a facilitator of Dancing Mindfulness practices. I value supporting people in embodied awareness and movement!

How Psychotherapy Can Help
Psychotherapy is an opportunity within a safe space, in the company of supportive witness, to begin opening up and exploring current issues or territories within. There is no forcing, but rather unfolding in a way that feels safe. As one shares and explores, beautiful shifts in the way of seeing and living life often unfolds. There is opportunity to empower one's self to move into life and with ourselves in a richer and more fulfilling way. It is also okay to move slowly and I encourage people to be right where they are, not pushing the river, so to speak. I think it is an opportunity to grow in one's capacity to trust one's self and one's inner wisdom. I value the opportunity to be a part of this process for my clients.
My View on the Purpose of Psychotherapy
I believe that psychotherapy is a very healthy process, offering the opportunity with a supportive witness, to begin opening up and exploring one's self. This offers an opportunity to understand and see one's self in new light or gain new ways to view experiences.
