My style is interactive, inquisitive and responsive. My approach is to collaborate with you to help you find the most effective and meaningful path towards healing. You are the expert on you, and I see my role as your guide who walks along side you and points out things that you may not have noticed along the way. My training has given me navigation tools for your journey, but in essence only you know where you need to go. Through my personal healing journey I have cultivated a deep believe in the possibility of healing and transformation through the practice of psychotherapy. I invite you to try, try again, and continue to grow.

How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist

When I was 19, I began to have panic attacks. They were terrifying, and I was at a loss for what to do. I even had to take a semester off from college to focus on my healing. Although I had seen a therapist once before, this time was different. Maybe because my suffering was more intense, and I had no choice but to face the things that were no longer working in my life. Over the course of a couple of years, I fully recovered from my panic attacks and began to take ownership of my relationship choices, my personal goals, and boundaries in my life. I knew then, that I wanted to help people the way that my therapist helped me. Although it took living some life before I would go to graduate school, I am so grateful for work that brings so much meaning to my life and healing to others.
