More Info About My Practice
I believe that every person has the potential to be successful but at times may not have the skills to accomplish their goals. Therefore the aim of therapy is to work with the individual or family to identify obstacles, strengths and goals while providing guidance, support and empowerment. Counseling is intended to help you gain understanding, find meaning and make changes to obtain a better quality of life that you envision for yourself.
At Life Balance Counseling, we have several counselors that have different specializations, including: ADD/ADHD, anger management, anxiety, children and teens, depression, couples, chronic illness, grief and loss, perinatal and postpartum mood disorders, fertility issues, weight loss and help individuals learn how to reduce stress and live more fulfilling lives.
What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist
Being a Licensed social worker is very rewarding. It is amazing how client's gain insight into their current challenges and as a team we can identify solutions to help them overcome their thoughts, feelings and behaviors. Nothing is better then seeing your client achieve their goals and overcoming their deepest fears and obstacles.
How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist
I feel that every therapist has experienced their own challenges in life that has driven them to become a counselor and help others experiencing their own challenges. We are human and need to learn ways to cope with our own challenges so that we can help others. Life can become complicated and sometimes we lose sight of our goals and the things we aspire to be. Connecting with a counselor can help you gain unconditional support and provide guidance during your deepest moments of fear. We are here to help you overcome your negative patterns to help you live the life you want. Life is short and living with sadness, anxiety, and anger can hold you back from accomplishing the things that make you happy and feel fulfilled.
