My philosophy is centered around a solution focused approach to solving the problems that are keeping you from living life. My goal is to get you better and back in action as soon as possible. I am experienced in working with trauma, both military and civilian as well as marriage and family counseling. I utilize a combination of therapies depending on the problem to ensure that we deal with the whole issue and not just part of it to help ensure you will move forward without taking the two steps back.

More Info About My Practice

I do not take insurace but I only charge $50 for an individual one hour session, $60 for family and couples sessions and $75 for EMDR sessions as they run for one and a half hours. Since I do not take insurance we are not limited by what the insurance company wants you to do and can focus on what is actually helpful for you. I can provide a sliding scale under special circumstances.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

My education and much of my training is in Marriage, Family, and Child Therapy. I am also a Prepare/Enrich premarital and relationship counseling facilitator.

The majority of my work is with Trauma. I am trained in EMDR and use it on a daily basis in my practice. I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, and have training in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I work with both military and civilian trauma.

How Psychotherapy Can Help

Like everything else in life, you get what you put into therapy. If you come to the session willing to make a change, do the homework, and get better, then we have a great chance at helping you get back to normal. I can help reduce the anxiety, panic, depression, fear, and negative self thoughts and we can create a healthier thought process and start living life.
