How Psychotherapy Can Help
During the first session, it is very important that you feel comfortable, that I work to become acquainted with you, secure your trust, then begin assessing your problems and concerns by claifying your struggles. Compassionately listening to your concerns, insuring confidentiality, and helping you feel in control of your life, is critical to most clients.
I will engage you in a process of mutual problem solving in which we will develop goals and approaches that will help you reach those goals and be a good fit for your situation. After the initial assessment, I will provide guidance and discuss options on how you can best address your problems, anxieties, and relationship issues.
On the Fence About Going to Therapy?
I understand that it takes alot of courage to come to a therapist you do not know, and talk about very private concerns, not knowing how it will work out or how you will be treated. Taking risks is never easy, but if you look back at your life, doing something different and pushing through your fears is what may have moved you further down the road to more personal growth.
Making that first appointment, despite one's reservations, can make a big difference and take you into a new chapter of success in your life. If you are tired of feeling poorly and repeating the old patterns, then try one session and see how it works for you. I offer an initial free 45 minute consultation
