My psychotherapy practice offers a safe, compassionate environment that helps provide my clients with the emotional foundation from which to explore their issues with courage.
The early stages of our work together will emphasize the clarification of goals. Because most people who come into therapy have struggled with their issues for a while, we will take a look at the old approaches that are not working for you anymore. You will soon find yourself ready to try out new approaches so that real and lasting change can take place.
I am experienced and comfortable working with a broad array of issues including depression and feeling stuck, anxiety and worry, grief and loss, relationship challenges, sexual identity issues, childhood sexual abuse, destructive anger patterns, family of origin issues, addictive behaviors, and spiritual/existential struggles.
When it's time for change, please contact me for an appointment. I offer a free initial consultation.

How Psychotherapy Can Help
Psychotherapy is a collaborative effort between a professional counselor and a client that facilitates the process of emotional growth and transformation.
Therapy helps by providing a supportive environment. Through a trusting therapeutic relationship, a person may engage in more honest self-exploration leading to greater insight, more emotional openness to life's diverse experiences, and greater psychological flexibility.
What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist
It's called a psychotherapy "practice" for a reason. This work provides ongoing opportunities for personal and professional growth. I can think of few other professions that require the level of personal integrity and commitment to learning as does psychotherapy. Of course, the most rewarding aspect of being a therapist is having helped another human being find relief from emotional suffering, and greater balance and meaning in life.
