As we go through life day to day, we often lose a part of ourselves or forget who we are or once were. Often the word therapy or counseling is deemed negative as if you have a "problem." When really, going to counseling is more about being heard without judgement, finding yourself and being aware, and finding out ways to cope, adapt, and restore confidence.

My approach to therapy is a down-to-earth, holistic, and it is all about you! (or your child). Establishing a trusting relationship between you (or child) and me is our first step. Then we will start diving into what you need.

More Info About My Practice

Are you a parent trying to communicate to your child? Are you bogged down by work or struggling in your relationship? Are you truly happy?

We spend our time, focus, and energy on our work, families, or our significant others. We often loose track of ourselves in the process. If you are feeling lost or forgotten what it means to "love thyself" let's talk about it.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

Working with adolescent clients. Pre-Teen and teenagers are typically going through the most difficult years of their lives. Hormones, stress, pressure from friends, social media, and school are just the tip of the iceberg with what is going on in their lives. Teenagers often feel misunderstood by their parents and adults and rely heavily on peers for guidance. If your teen is shutting down, making poor choices, or you are concerned, give me a call.
If you bring your teenager to me, having their trust is extremely important. I will want you as a parent to understand the limits of confidentiality that I will have between parent and therapist in our initial consultation.

My Role as a Therapist

is not to tell you what to do, or how you should feel. You are the expert in your life. My job is to recognize and pick up on those undiscovered feelings. I walk with you on your journey. I will be there with you every step of the way.
