Are you plagued by anxiety, sadness, or anger? I can help you regain meaning, connection, and control over your relationships and life. I help you alleviate destructive behavior, and better manage cycles of problematic thoughts and feelings.
I help you identify your goals so you can achieve the life of your dreams. I am an expert at helping my clients reduce anger, stress, anxiety, depression, depression, impulsive behavior, and self-destructive choices. I also boost my clients' sense of fulfillment, balance, possibility, and healing. I help couples and individuals, tailoring treatment to the specific needs of each client, and always offering a safe, effective, caring space.
I served as clinical director of several addiction and mental health clinics, and have been featured in a number of media outlets. I provide clinical instruction to graduate mental health programs at Fordham and NYU.

I use evidence-based treatments, such as CBT and client-centered therapy, to help you identify and work toward your goals. I believe we all have the potential to grow and change, and I offer you the space to do that.

Therapy unfolds at your pace, with a focus on offering you relief from patterns and behaviors you no longer desire. We may examine the ways the past has shaped your life, but we also focus on developing coping skills in the here and now. I always help my clients in a caring, effective, and safe fashion.

My View on the Purpose of Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy is an evidence-based scientific practice that helps with positive life changes and symptom relief. Therapy can help you highlight and put into use life tools you have and are not fully using, and or learn and integrate useful new ones. We all have behaviors, thoughts or relationships that we would like to change however, simply wanting that change is often times not enough. Desire for change is a great beginning. Actually implementing, and then maintaining, those changes can be a real challenge.

My goal as a therapist is to help you alleviate frustrating, overwhelming and painful patterns, getting you \\\\\\\"unstuck\\\\\\\" as quickly as possible. I focus on long term positive change, goal achievement and increased life satisfaction.
Every therapist is different, and it is important you are working with someone you feel you can trust and a good fit with. If you are thinking about scheduling an appointment, I encourage you to give me a call for a free phone consultation.
