My Approach to Helping

We all need someone we can count on: to listen, to care, and to hold our hand as we travel rocky terrain. I will take that voyage with you when you are ready. I serve as your coach, witness, comrade, mentor, compass, and companion on your healing journey. I aim to be attuned to your needs, and recognize that you are a multidimensional, beautiful, complex being. Therapy is a way to rediscover and reclaim your sense of vitality and wholeness.

I offer a warm and peaceful space where you can safely and comfortably explore your feelings so you can lead a life of authenticity out in the world. I use a holistic approach, focusing on every dimension of your experience. We focus on cognitive, physical, energetic, emotional, and spiritual layers. I focus on transformational approaches to healing and growth, such as Gestalt therapy, AEDP, psychodynamic, and transpersonal modalities to help you better understand your own experience. I infuse our work with mindfulness-based exercises, expressive arts, and guided visual meditations to deepen your work and bring forth healing and growth.

What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist

I love being a therapist because I love people. As a therapist, I have the honor of watching people from all different backgrounds and lifestyles create their own sense of fulfillment and happiness. People design and refine their lives through self-reflection and the implementation of changes. I love that there are infinite possibilities for creativity in the therapeutic process and that I get to be a part of that transformative journey .

I love honesty. I love when people can be real with themselves and with me, bravely voicing their feelings and fears. I love that we press the pause button and sit in stillness. I love that we can focus on "being" rather than "doing."

And, most of all, I love results. I love witnessing people grow from the awareness they gain from sitting with me. I love when people can sense their own healing and can see how far they have come. I know from my own experience with therapy that life really can get better through this deep practice.
