I help young adults with depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, and relationships. Clients often come to me unsure of where to begin. I embrace my clients as they are, providing a warm, judgment-free place to help them find direction and gain clarity. Compassion, coupled with respect for my clients' stories, helps us focus on finding solutions, restructuring unhelpful thought and behavior patterns, and implementing new lifestyle habits. One small change can, over time, set off a chain of bigger changes.

I build upon my clients' strengths by offering a holistic and personalized approach to therapy. I look at all areas of your life, including relationships, fitness, career, sexuality, relaxation, and fun!

More Info About My Practice

Lotus Center is located in the Wicker Park neighborhood of Chicago and specializes in providing a holistic approach to mental health. We are steps away from the Division Blue Line and offers free client parking.

If you're worried about costs due to high-deductible insurance, no insurance, or an out-of-network plan, Lotus Center offers a supervised graduate intern program. You can work with a supervised intern for $30 per session. To schedule your appointment, contact us, or navigate to the appointments section on our website.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), which is type of therapy that has proven helpful for people suffering from traumas, both big and small. When a disturbing event occurs it can get locked in the brain with the original images, feelings, thoughts, and body sensations. This can lead to problems as the brain links present experiences to these disturbing memories. EMDR allows the brain to reprocess the traumatic events; keeping what information is useful and discarding what is not. EMDR seems to stimulate your brain's natural healing process, but ultimately you are the one in control. EMDR is helpful for people who feel trapped by their past and desire to work towards a healthier resolution.

On the Fence About Going to Therapy?

It can be scary, intimidating, or anxiety provoking to go to therapy for the first time. Telling a stranger intimate details of your life may seem overwhelming. However, once you get up the nerve to try it the experience can be freeing. You will share information without the fear of judgement or fear of your confidence being broken. Because your therapist is an unbiased party you will not feel pressure to accept unwanted or bad advice as you might from well-intended friends and family members. Instead you will explore your own thoughts, feelings, and patterns with helpful support, guidance, and accountability.
