Choosing to start counseling is a brave and mature step in your journey towards healing and accomplishing changes you desire. I believe in helping people create better lives for themselves and their loved ones. I focus on getting to know you and building our therapeutic relationship in order to help you reach your goals. I accept people for who they are, as they are, and use a counseling approach that fits your needs. I work with individuals (children, adolescents, adults) and families.

I am also a certified Collaborative Divorce Coach. If you are considering a divorce, the Collaborative Model is an alternative to the traditional litigation or mediation models offered. It approaches divorce as a problem to be solved, rather than a crisis to be had, and utilizes a team approach to help the couple reach a divorce resolution that is mutually agreeable and durable. Please contact me if you would like to learn more about this model.

On the Fence About Going to Therapy?

Taking the step to ask for help can be difficult and can bring up anxiety. Many people think of therapy as something that only "crazy" people do. But the truth is, we all struggle with small or big problems. It can be helpful to have someone who is fully attuned to listening to you, who has an outside perspective and is invested in you. Going to a therapist to help with emotional difficulties is akin to seeking a doctor when our stomach hurts. I offer initial consultations to you can meet me, experience a counseling session, and can assess if I would be a good fit for you as your therapist.
