Life can be stressful. Sometimes, our stressors can get the better of us and we can become overwhelmed, anxious, or even feel paralyzed, unable to focus or make decisions. We may even find ourselves reacting to others in ways we don't understand. If this sounds like you, I can help.
Often, trauma in the earlier years can cause symptoms that are difficult to understand. Folks with traumatic pasts can find themselves with unexplained episodes of anxiety, depression and rage. Sometimes, difficuties arise from a person's early relationship with family members. Again, if this sounds like you, I can help.
I use an approach that includes mindfulness and somatic therapies. I may offer EMDR as a tool, if it is appropriate. I have had great results using these methods with trauma survivors, and with people who have unexplained anxiety, depression, and other symptoms. Please feel free to call with any questions or if you'd like to set up an appointment.
