Therapy is a means to gain insight and identify solutions in pursuit of a fulfilling life. I conduct individual and family therapy with adults and teens who are seeking to make changes and improve their quality of life. Whether you're struggling with your own concerns or looking for help for your teen, we can work together to create goals to optimize your own psychological health or that of your child.

I specialize in 3 main areas: body image/eating disorders, depression/anxiety, and relationship difficulties. I employ Cognitive Behavioral techniques for eating disorder treatment and am one of a small number of therapists in San Francisco with training in Family Based Therapy for eating disorder treatment. I also utilize Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Psychodynamic modalities to help you manage anxiety, heal from depression, and improve your relationships.

I earned my Ph.D. from the University of North Texas and trained at Stanford University. I work with The Healthy Teen Project, a partial hospitalization program for eating disorders, and provide consultation and educational services to the community as well as graduate programs. I am also a board member of multiple professional organizations.

More Info About My Practice

Worried about whether therapy is the right choice? Therapy may be for you if you want to get more out of life by boosting self-awareness, increasing insight, and finding new solutions to old problems. Therapy can help you master effective coping skills.

If you're unsure whether you're ready to give it a try, I invite you to call me for a free phone consultation. We'll use your first session as a chance to determine whether we're a good fit. I can also answer your questions and we can set preliminary treatment goals. We'll also discuss insurance, payment, and contact between sessions.

I'm an out-of-network provider for every insurance company, but I can offer you a ?superbill? which you can directly submit to your insurer for reimbursement. Please contact your insurer directly if you have questions about your coverage. If your insurance does not offer coverage, you may be able to use your FSA or HSA account instead. I accept payment via check, cash, and credit card.
