My name is Elisabeth Scheepers. What I enjoy most about the work I do is that I work directly with people. I place you, the person who seeks assistance, at the center of the therapeutic or coaching relationship. In order to ensure that our meetings are helpful, I ask everyone what their expectations and goals are. I also ask for feedback during and after every meeting to check whether we are still on-track and that you are getting out of the meetings what you expect.
I have received training in a large variety of therapeutic approaches, but I rely upon you to provide me with information on what works for you and what does not. In case of the latter, I will discuss with you options to make our work together more efficient and effective. Every person who enters my office or "cyber office" is a unique individual. I, however, firmly believe that everyone can benefit from therapy (counseling) and coaching.
I am very interested in helping people with career guidance. Some people feel stuck in mid-career, while others feel that they have not found their area of interest yet.
I also work with companies to help with employee selection and recruitment as well as executive coaching. I provide assessments for career purposes and recruitment that can fully be done on-line. I prefer to combine assessments to obtain a full picture of a potential candidate.

More Info About My Practice
The session costs are consistent with the fees asked by coaching, counseling and mental health professionals in Saskatchewan and Canada. Many employers believe in the importance of counseling and coaching to the health of their employees and offer benefits to either cover fully or partly the costs of the sessions. As I value your privacy, I will ensure that no confidential information will be disclosed to the employer without your knowledge and consent.
My Role as a Therapist
My role as therapist and coach is NOT to tell you what to do. It is your life and your life is different from that of others. You have unique experiences that make you the person you are.
You are very likely also an expert on what you feel is missing in your life or what you want to achieve. My task is to help you identify the obstacles that prevent you from making progress.
Alternatively, you may want me to listen to you and validate your experience in a nonjudgmental way.
In a session, we can practice new communication skills in a safe environment. I also can help you with information and resources and activities you can follow-up at home.
