My philosophy and approach to helping people is very much about holding the hope for a person when they feel that they have lost hope for things to change. I feel very passionately about helping a person find their way through therapy and believe that the healing nature of a therapeutic relationship can facilitate change and restore hope.

Life can be very challenging and finding our way through it can leave us wondering how will we ever get through it in one piece...from relationship issues, identity issues, mental health challenges, loss of self esteem, substance abuse and much much more, we can wonder why is this happening to me?

My hope is that through working in a collaborative relationship with me certain questions can be answered, finding new ways of dealing with problems can be obtained, hope can be restored and you can begin to move forward in your life again or find what makes you truly happy or even to just find the self and sense of peace you've longed for, for many years.

More Info About My Practice

My fees range between $100-$120, depending on a persons income. I provide an additional sliding scale for those who have financial hardship and need a lower fee. I don't accept insurance but am willing to provide billing for those who wish to try and claim their therapy with their insurance.
I am accepting new clients and will work towards finding an appointment time that will work with your schedule.

My View on the Purpose of Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy can be a very healing experience and one that involves a truly unique relationship between client and therapist. This relationship can heal emotional pain that has been the result of damaging present or previous relationships or struggles with managing emotional pain, mental illnesses, trauma, behaviors that are causing problems in living life and so much more.
The purpose of therapy in my view is to help one discover how to best improve ones life and sometimes find meaning when it has been lost. When we have lost our way we can feel confused and unsure of how to make things different and therapy can help with these questions. Therapy can take time and it can sometimes feel like uncovering all the pain we are suffering is only making us feel worse, but when we can hang in there positive outcomes can happen.

My Role as a Therapist

My role as a therapist is to walk along side you as you discover ways to live your life more happily and with hope.
I will be your advocate and have belief in your ability to achieve the things you hope to achieve and to heal the suffering you feel. I truly believe that we all have the ability to find our place in the world and to learn what makes us happy and fulfilled and to seek it out.
From the therapeutic relationship you can hope to find one that is loving, accepting, nonjudgmental and with your best interest as a top priority. Therapy is a place where you can truly express who you are and share your hopes and fears and aspects of yourself that you might fear are unacceptable. All that you are will be honored and welcomed as you enter into this healing relationship.
