More Info About My Practice

I have 25 years of experience providing psychotherapy to clients in a private practice and in university and hospital environments. I am enthusiastic about this work and have helped numerous people make positive changes in their lives. I help people achieve their goals, resolve crisis situations, and build more effective ways to increase one's resiliency. We all have the capability to make our lives as full and rich as we desire them to be. Therapy can help you achieve what you want in your work, relationships, and dreams.

My Therapy Focus

I specialize in helping people deal with life transitions and the confusing, difficult, painful times in their lives. I help clients cope with depression, relationship issues, anxiety, career difficulties, grief, and divorce. I have a special affinity for young adults because I have worked in a university setting for 15 years. I specialize in helping students traverse the social and educational pressures of college life. I lead a small, supportive group that help members embrace the freedoms and responsibilities that are hallmarks of college life. The group helps members develop meaningful relationships, resist negative peer pressure and make wise lifestyle and career choices. I also lead a "quarter life crisis" group which focuses on the feelings of confusion that some individuals face caused by graduation from college and the adjustment to function outside a structured environment. Group members help each other feel less isolated by sharing their fears and anxieties related to going out into the "real world". I also offer counseling and consulting services to local high schools experiencing challenges within their student population.
