Wherever you find yourself on life's journey, I am honored to support you so that you can feel comfortable and accepted within the safe space of therapy. In so doing, you can begin taking positive steps forward. Whether you struggle to connect with your family or primary partner, or you face individual challenges, I address your concerns in a compassionate and empathetic fashion that offers you relief. We then go deeper, cutting to the heart of the matter so that you can break free of emotional pain.

I am trained in emotionally focused therapy, an evidence-based practice that can be highly effective at resolving the feelings that cause problematic behaviors. I see things through a client-centered lens, gently following you where you want to go. I am holistic and systemic in orientation, because I believe that we are all connected but are greater than the sum of our parts. I embrace attachment-oriented treatment, and value the goal of nurturing healthier connections with ourselves and those we love.

I offer a free 30-minute consultation so that you can explore whether we are a good fit. I charge $120 for one hour or $175 for a 90-minute counseling session for couples, individuals, and families. Please feel free to inquire about my introductory special. I have appointments available throughout the day and in the evening, as well as some weekend slots. I work with Wellspring Family Services, but am an out-of-network provider for other insurance providers.

What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist

What keeps me inspired and motivated to do this work is when I see clients who are really struggling but because of the work that we do together they experience a breakthrough that really lights them up.

My Therapy Focus

I believe it is important for me to help you to address the actions and behaviors that are challenging you, but then to also explore the deeper feelings and needs that are driving them.

On the Fence About Going to Therapy?

Because I know that it can uncomfortable to consider taking this step, I encourage clients to come in for a free consultation to explore how it may be worth the risk of entering into counseling to get the support they are looking for.

Important Factors for Choosing a Therapist

Choosing a therapist that's right for you comes from a combination of what your mind is telling you about what they've said that resonates, but also the gut feeling you have that reassures you that you are in good hands.

How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist

Authenticity is my core value and something that I endeavor to lend toward the counseling relationship which I believe makes a positive difference for the client. I came to this work because of how I have struggled myself with many similar issues that help me to empathize with the clients and to contribute real-life experience to the resolution.

Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed

Sadly our culture has given us the false impression that to be vulnerable is to be weak. Actually, it's the converse that is true. We are communal creatures who need one another and help lift one another up to our greater good.
