Do you find yourself feeling anxious and alone, uncomfortable in your own skin? Are you consumed by worry, caught up in thoughts about the past or future? Do you hold yourself back from relationships and engaging in life? If any of these statements describe your current state, I would like to help, help you connect to your own basic goodness and cultivate more ease and well-being in your life.
I believe that you have a natural movement toward wholeness and health, yet at times you can feel disconnected from your true nature, particularly when struggling with difficult life situations and emotions or caught up in false beliefs about yourself and others.
Lasting change comes from listening closely to your present experience of body sensations, emotions and thoughts. Then discerning what is habitual response from what is actually true in the present moment. Developing inner and outer resources of mindfulness, compassion and gratitude are key.
Let me help you navigate the dark, difficult and painful inner landscape as well as rest in the places of ease and cultivate your true vital, creative self!

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With
Individuals who have experienced childhood trauma. If your caregiver wasn't available to provide you with consistent loving care when you were an infant or child, it can register as a trauma. When we are wounded as children, we can develop a core belief about yourself and the the world - usually "I'm not lovable" "I'm not good enough". I can help you heal that young wound and develop a connection to yourself that reflects your true basic goodness.
What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist
I love witnessing the courage, strength and resilience arise in my clients as they explore their deepest concerns and desires.
I'm in awe when natural, human resistance and creativity shines through as my clients risk vulnerability and as a result develop more meaningful relationships with themselves and the world around them.
My Therapy Focus
I am interested in exploring what is happening in "real time" in the present moment. I pay attention to body sensations, emotions and thoughts with compassion and non-judgment. When words are difficult or emotions overwhelming, using alternative ways of expressing through drawing or movement helps to deepen understanding.
I am trained in existential, contemplative psychotherapy. I using guided imagery, creative expression and body sensing to develop resources and resolve developmental trauma.
