Pema Chodron said, "Healing comes from letting there be room for all of "this" to happen: room for grief, for relief, for misery, for joy." Finding room for happiness, purpose, contentment, and connection amidst the stresses and strains of everyday life is perhaps our greatest challenge. I believe in a collaborative approach to therapy and my philosophy is, the stories we tell ourselves and to others create our lived experience, our consciousness, and our understanding of the world around us.
What is your story? An example might be, "I've always been the problem child in my family" or "I should be further along in my life or career." How invested have you become in your story? Is your story helping you to get what you want out of life, or is it holding you back in some way?
Making change in life and outlook isn't easy, and it takes time and a willingness to let it unfold at a pace that feels right for you. My goal is to help you discover and create a different perspective for yourself and your life, to help you experience more wholeness, more empowerment, more balance, and more satisfaction in your life and in your relationships. You do not have to settle for what your story has been thus far, if you are open to re-writing it.

More Info About My Practice
Deciding to see a therapist and making that first contact can be a big step. It's important to me that you feel comfortable and feel like we are a good fit for each other. I would like to provide you with a no-cost, 15 minute initial phone consult so that I may learn a little more about why you are seeking therapy at this time, to share with you my therapy approach, and to answer any questions or concerns you might have for me.
