Life can be stressful and often we find ourselves feeling down and anxious. You can feel better but it can be hard to know where to start. As a therapist, it is my role to help you explore your goals and make improvements that stick. We can work together to identify stressful feelings, determine where they originate, increase insight and strengthen professional and personal relationships.

More Info About My Practice
I am a clinical social worker who has extensive experience working with clients that suffer from depression, anxiety, as well as ambivalent or negative feelings about career and romantic relationships. I also focus on clients that struggle with illness and don't know how to set or meet professional and personal goals while struggling to maintain their health. I have been trained in numerous approaches to therapy including Psychoanalytic and Attachment theories.
I completed my undergraduate degree at Northwestern University and graduated from law school at Brooklyn Law School before earning my Masters in Social Work at UCLA.

As an attorney and former prosecutor, I understand the pressures of a high-paced, time-pressured work environment. I also know how hard it can be when you feel unhappy and yet how difficult it is to make a real change. In therapy, we can explore the reasons why your professional career feels unfulfilling and help determine how to make different choices.
I have experience working with people in their mid/late 20's and early 30's who feel overwhelmed trying to determine what professional and personal success looks like while also managing expectations of family, friends and professional supervisors. Through therapy, clients explore how to manage enormous environmental pressures, determine a work/life balance and analyze what life ultimately should look like.
I have worked in a residential and outpatient eating disorder clinic where we solely worked with those suffering from anorexia, bulimia, binge eating and disordered eating patterns. Eating can become a refuge when you feel overwhelmed, unloved and confused. Together, we can examine the reasons behind why you struggle with food and help you process those difficult emotions.
I run the Cystic Fibrosis mental health program at UCSF. There and in my private practice I work with clients who have an illness. In our work together, we look at how that illness impacts you, what you want from life and how you can still achieve your personal and professional goals while also taking care of yourself.
