It's a difficult and courageous choice to try therapy. I offer a genuine, objective, and respectful therapist-client relationship. Counseling can be profoundly helpful, particularly when you need help following through with goal-setting, exercise, and other interventions that may improve your life. My job is to nurture your awareness of how your choices affect your life, increase your choices, and empower you to ultimately be your own therapist!

How Psychotherapy Can Help

Many people have a misconception that attending counseling make them "weak" or "flawed". This is simply not true. There are times when people reach a point in there lives when they are simply not as happy or satisfied as they would like to be, no matter how they choose to define "happy" and "satisfied". Many times, this happiness or satisfaction, or lack of, comes from a life cycle change (ex. divorce, transition to parenthood) or situational factor (ex. car accident, assault) that a person(s) has not been able to cope with as effectively as they would have liked. There is nothing wrong with gaining professional and objective strategies for dealing with these kinds of concerns, and therapy is a good place to talk about ideas and emotions. I am here to be a guide and helper in talking about problems and emotions and helping you to produce solutions as well as feel differently about your life.
