People seek therapy for a variety of reasons, from relationship issues, such as codependency, financial concerns, stress, anxiety and childhood traumas. All of these concerns seem to come back to our basic human needs - a desire for happiness and a wish to avoid suffering.

I provide a compassionate, understanding environment for you to explore the areas of your life that are causing you concern. I work with the assumption that we all have a basic integrity and wisdom at the core of who we are. This wisdom is always seeking wholeness. One of the key ingredients in accessing this wisdom is mindfulness. With mindfulness we can create the space for our body/mind system to organically move toward the wholeness it is seeking. As we connect to ourselves in the present moment we learn to own our own experience without blame, which helps us to make an internal shift - from being a victim to our past to being empowered and responsible for our lives and our choices in the present moment.

My areas of expertise include grief and bereavement, preparation for death and dying, relationships, codependency issues, spiritual and transpersonal development, and childhood sexual abuse and trauma. I have been a meditation practitioner and teacher for over 25 years and have worked with people in a variety of settings and circumstances, from hospitals and hospices to private settings, and throughout all life transitions.

More Info About My Practice

In our work together you can expect to learn to actively apply meditative practices and visualization techniques to your own present moment lived experience - what is happening now and your response to it. I will guide you into exploring a compassionate relationship with the body and cultivating nonjudgmental self-awareness. This often leads to greater awareness of how your past has shaped your present moment experience, giving you more choices. It is not uncommon to also experience a sense of more aliveness in your life and a greater sense of well-being.

I have a sliding scale fee structure in order to make therapy accessible to everyone who seeks it. Please inquire for more details.
