My wish for you is that, through individual therapy, you will feel empowered to live authentically, to accept and work through the full range of sometimes difficult feelings and to improve and deepen your relationship with yourself and others.

I will draw from a variety of therapeutic approaches to meet your own unique needs.

As your therapist, I will offer you the support, guidance and tools necessary to experience relief from suffering - and empower you to achieve your full potential.

I offer individual, couples and group therapy, as well as psychological assessments and career assessments/counseling.

My Therapy Focus

My work with clients tends to focus on core internal conflicts (for example, a desire for connection versus a fear of rejection) that keep them stuck and prone to self-judgment. I find that self-judgment and self-criticism about one's emotional experience is at the heart of many mental health issues. Often particular emotions, for example, fear, anger or shame, are difficult for my clients to experience or express due to past experiences or societal/cultural factors. One of the essential tools that I provide my clients is the improved ability to identify, experience and accept their own emotional experiences. This approach results in a decrease in avoidant behavior and an increase in self-compassion, which is more associated with long-term happiness than self-esteem.

On the Fence About Going to Therapy?

I have experience working with many individuals who had never been involved in therapy previously. People are often surprised at the skills developed, insight gained and the support provided within the therapy relationship. Additionally, it's ok to feel conflicted about being in therapy even as you engage in the process. I will meet you where you are.
