Hello and Welcome,
Thank you for taking this important step of seeking out support. It is not always easy to ask for help and finding the right counselor for you can sometimes feel overwhelming. However, I encourage you to keep going because it is well worth the effort!
I practice mindfulness based experiential psychotherapy, which has the power to quickly help you transform feelings of anxiety, self-doubt, or depression into joy, peace, and confidence. The focus is on the here and now and bringing you more into the present moment so that you can integrate all parts of you, mind body and spirit, in order to experience lasting benefits. I also draw from the wisdom of Gestalt, Transpersonal, and Sensorimotor psychotherapy.
This sort of help is not just for people with severe mental illness. Life can challenge even the strongest of us, but we were not meant to face these challenges alone. Whether you are struggling with a big life transition, such as the end of a relationship, experiencing challenges related to past trauma, such as anger, confusion, or hopelessness, or simply feeling lost and stuck in life, therapy can help.
I encourage you to take the next step and set up an initial consultation. This 1-hour 100% risk free consultation is an opportunity for you to come in and decide if my approach is a good fit for you. If you decide to keep looking, you will not be billed for this time. If you want to know more about myself and my approach please click on my website above. I also welcome any question or concerns you may have via phone or email and will make an effort to get back to you within 24 business hours.
Thank you and good luck on your journey.

My Role as a Therapist
I see my role as a psychotherapist much like a ferryman here to guide you through rough waters and see you safely to the other side. Though you set the destination, I am here to offer help and support, often by mirroring your own true Self back to you. My approach is client centered, meaning that I believe each person has their own inherent wisdom and it is my job to help you learn to listen to your inner guide and trust its guidance. In doing so it is my hope that when we end our time together you will have all the tools and knowledge to face whatever challenges may arise.
How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist
I was in my late teens when my mother became very ill. I chose to change my life course, leave university, and come home to take care of her. This was when I first faced truly difficult trials and inner demons. In the midst of my struggle, surrounded often by depression and severe self-criticism there came a point of surrender, where I realized that I could not overcome my demons alone, and so I sought help both through spiritual traditions and through psychotherapy.
I eventually found my way through this dark time and discovered that my true gifts lay in working with others, in helping people both to discover their true divine indestructible essence and to act as a guide to help them find their way through whatever time of pain and confusion they may in. These experiences led me to study Transpersonal Psychology and forced me to become a better therapist through facing my own pain and suffering. Now, when I ask clients to face or feel something difficult I do so with the utmost care and compassion because I know how hard it can be and I also know there is always a way through.
