I want to help you live your best possible life! For many, our thoughts, beliefs and fears may limit us and keep us from moving forward and making positive changes. We may repeat poor choices in relationships or other personal or professional situations. Sometimes we believe that we have no choices, that we are stuck, and can only feel or respond to a particular situation in one particular way. I can help you, as I have helped many others, learn to recognize and correct self limiting beliefs that often lead to making fear based decisions. I can help you find resolution, create options and make the kind of positive changes you may have always wanted to make but didn't believe you were capable of, or were afraid of. If you are ready to commit to and invest in a better life for yourself, I am here to help you. If not now, when?

More Info About My Practice
Insurance companies often ask for detailed information about therapy sessions in order to pay for the sessions - not working with insurance guarantees that you have total confidentiality and privacy. Insurance companies also often have their own conditions and requirements that must be met, including the nature of the psychotherapy sessions, in order to pay for sessions with network providers. This can limit the freedom and independence of the therapist to do the kind of therapy that they believe is best for a particular person. For these reasons, I have chosen to not be a network provider with insurance companies. I will provide you with monthly invoices should you choose to submit the cost of sessions to your insurance carrier as an out of network service. My sliding fee scale ranges from $100 - $150 per session.
My Therapy Focus
My therapy focus is on you -- your unique being, your particular strengths, challenges, goals, dreams and circumstances. There is no "one size fits all" in the way that I work with people. My focus is on understanding you, helping you to recognize and resolve the issue(s) you are wrestling with, and to really help you fully live the kind of life that you want to be living. I will support as well as challenge you to help you move make changes and move forward. We will work as a team - I am here to guide you, not to tell you what to do.
Importance of the Client-Therapist Alliance
The nature of the therapeutic relationship is that it focuses on feelings, thoughts and/or circumstances that may be painful, scary and uncomfortable. The most important aspect of the client-therapist relationship is trust. Trust is essential, and while it does take a little time to establish, there can be no progress in the relationship without trust. Trust that the therapist is emotionally safe (supportive, kind, reassuring) , has integrity and competence, and is willing to help the client achieve their own goals. The client-therapist relationship is a collaboration, and there needs to be mutual respect for what each person brings to the relationship.
