Welcome to my profile, and thank you for considering my counseling services! By visiting this website, you may be taking your first steps toward the help you need for healing and for growth. Many congratulations for inviting yourself to pursue your goals, and I wish you so much peace and joy as you proceed in your wellness journey. Long before I became a therapist, I already knew that I would adopt a supportive role in my community. As an Orlando native, I have had the pleasure of volunteering for many local organizations over the years. Those experiences have led me to develop meaningful relationships with people who sought to change their lives. It was, and still continues to be, such a privilege to bear witness to the stories of those around me, and to help the owners of those stories to write them the way they want them to be. In the name of my private practice, Moment to Moment Counseling and Wellness, LLC, I hope to convey the approach I use with each and every individual with whom I have the honor of sharing their space and their personal mission. "Moment to moment" is a phrase that took root in the mindfulness movement that has expanded in recent decades, to encourage students of mindfulness to practice moment to moment present awareness, compassion and self-compassion, and radical acceptance. I believe that sharing a warm, nonjudgmental space with everyone who works with me is crucial for building a trusting, therapeutic and productive counseling relationship.

How Psychotherapy Can Help

Sometimes, we hit a roadblock that we can't seem to get around. We try to talk with friends and family about it, or we keep ourselves busy with life's activities to ignore it, or we engage in what we consider to be an effective solution. In some cases, we may not even know there's a roadblock - we just know that something isn't right. We try to make it right, perhaps without a deep understanding of what we are trying to make right.

We may not feel like ourselves. Loved ones may approach us and share their concerns about our behaviors. Our mood may change, either gradually or quickly, or fluctuate between different states. We might spend our mental energy dwelling about things. Relationships appear to suffer and we wonder why they are no longer fulfilling.

Psychotherapy offers tremendous benefits to those who actively receive it. It looks different from person to person; however, in its essence, it is a highly personalized, reflective process that invites us to transform into our highest selves. We are asked to engage in re-acquainting ourselves with our self by identifying our feelings, thoughts, behaviors, beliefs, values and attitudes toward the things that matter to us. We take ownership of ourselves, and from there we begin to understand how we might resolve life's issues through our strengths.
