My approach to therapy is eclectic, combining a humanistic, strengths-based and holistic approach. It involves working with individuals using a non-judgmental, empathic approach; supporting them as they confront their issues and helping them realize their unique strengths. I strive to help the person seeking therapy feel equally respected and nurtured during this time, and to always provide the time and space for an open and honest dialogue.
I specialize in using art therapy, as I believe it has the power to help people find a way to communicate their thoughts and emotions, and learn ways to cope with their challenges. Art therapy can be especially beneficial when working with children, giving them another way to express themselves and allowing for continued exploration of their issues.

How Psychotherapy Can Help

My own struggles and life experiences have helped shape me, and continue to motivate me to do this work. I have learned that our greatest challenges can motivate and transform us, helping us become stronger. Confronting these challenges and believing that things will change for the better can be difficult; it can be a long journey and I believe that therapy is an important part of the journey. It can help to relieve the isolation and stress that can come with dealing with hardship and help us begin to make the sometimes difficult but needed changes in our lives.

I understand the stigma that often comes with seeking help and will work with you through this. Seeking help and being in therapy does not mean we are weak or damaged.
