Life can be difficult. Many people experience suffering or unspeakable hardships during their lifetime and unfortunately, they often face these issues alone. When we face challenges together, however, they may serve as catalysts for personal growth and long term happiness. As your therapist, I will guide and support you through the most difficult periods of your life.
We will work together as we explore past wounds, unearth the underlying reasons for these hurts, and establish positive patterns for better health. I provide additional support in the form of group therapy, online tools, courses, and more.
I treat adults, adolescents, and children with challenges such as grief, depression, anxiety, bipolar issues, and posttraumatic stress. I also assist families that are experiencing adverse family issues or challenging dynamics.
My therapeutic approach is evidence-based and combines principles from cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, Buddhist psychology, and psychoanalysis. Most importantly, I provide compassionate care and will adapt to the techniques and strategies that best suit your needs.

How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist

Having gone through bouts of depression and PTSD, I know well the terrain of inner turmoil. As a child and young adult I lost several important people and underwent a series of big moves, upheaving my life and leaving me without much needed relationships. Grief and heartache were commonplace throughout these times and would eventually inspire me to undertake a path of healing. I would become a devout meditation practitioner, participate in shamanic healing practices, and attend individual and group psychotherapy. Somewhere along the way, after encountering my wounds over and over again, I feel free and whole, content and powerful. I would also study at Naropa University, the only accredited Buddhist University in the US, where I completed a graduate degree in psychotherapy. My path along with years of training is what I offer those with whom I accompany along this perilous path..
