Do you struggle with relationships or communicating your feeling to people who are important to you? Do you wish that you could feel more positive about yourself and your life or your current life situation? This is a struggle that many people have and it can be overcome with a little help. The ability to redirect the negative thoughts that intrude on us and redirect these so that we can maintain a positive and hopeful outlook helps us to have an open mind and grow within our relationships. Building increased positive thought patterns can help to build confidence and empower us to confront situations differently in order to resolve conflict and problem solve for ourselves and our relationships creating an environment that we are more satisfied with. Many times sadness, anger, disappointment or other negative emotions are a result of these negative thoughts that we have the power to redirect and control in a more positive direction. These are some of the skills that I can help teach you in Cognitive Behavioral therapy, which is the center of my work. Please contact me if you would like to build some skills to manage your daily stress or current life situation that has left you feeling uneasy.

My View on the Purpose of Psychotherapy

I have been trained and believe that therapy is a resource for gaining skills to utilize in your daily life to manage, not only the situation that you are currently struggling with, but also any other situation that arises. By gaining the skills of CBT, you can learn to redirect negative thought patterns and analyze situations in order to problem solve more effectively. By identifying your most common cognitive distortions, you are better equipped to combat these negative thought patterns and redirect them in order to view situations more clearly and positively.
