What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist

Working as a Psychologist I feel very fortunate to work with people who want to change for a better life. I am able to work closely with people who are willing to look into and find new ways of living, rather than choosing to avoid or numb life.

Important Factors for Choosing a Therapist

One of the most important factors in choosing a therapist is finding someone who is a good fit for YOU. You should review their website or other materials and consider scheduling an initial session to meet the provider face-to-face. Be mindful of their credentialing. A Licensed Psychologist is the only mental health provider in Florida, other than an MD, who is required to have a Doctorate degree to be licensed.

There is a lot of diversity in the field and finding a therapist you feel you can connect with is an imperative part of the process. If you are "not sure" after the first session, consider giving the therapist another session or two. I would encourage you to speak with the therapist about your concerns and see how things go from there.

My ultimate goal is to help you. If I am not the therapist for you, I will help you find another provider. I encourage you to to take the first step to changing your life today and call for a confidential phone consultation (941) 321-1971.
