I am passionately dedicated to supporting individuals and loved ones who struggle with addiction and co-occurring disorders. I specialize in codependency, sex and love addiction, trauma, and substance abuse. I use a holistic approach to heal the mind, body, and spirit, blending a combination of dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), body-oriented therapies such as yoga therapy and trauma-sensitive therapy, and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR).
A native Texan, I hold a degree in psychology from Texas Women's University. After serving as a human resource director for 12 years, my own recovery and self-discovery journey led me to return to TWU to complete a master's degree in counseling and development. I trained under David Emerson and Bessel van der Kolk at the Trauma Center at Justice Resource Institute, where I studied trauma-informed yoga therapy.
My work at an internationally recognized residential treatment center for co-occurring addiction and mental health issues offers me a wealth of insight. I use innovative treatments to help my clients recover and heal. I look forward to serving as your ally and guide as you walk a path toward self-discovery and renewal.
I am supervised by Ashley Kuehne, MS, LPC-S.

My standard rate is $100 per hour and although we do not take insurance, I am able to provide a sliding scale for those who want help but are unable to afford my full rate.
Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With
I work particularly well with individuals whose family of origin issues have resulted in maladaptive coping mechanisms in adolescence and adulthood. I specialize in complex trauma in childhood including emotional, physical, sexual abuse, abandonment, neglect, attachment issues, growing up with an addicted or mentally ill caregiver, bullying, death of a loved one and divorce. These early childhood experiences can lead to addiction, personality disorders, and a host of other ineffective behaviors intended to get our needs met. As we uncover the root causes of the maladaptive behaviors, we are able to replace those behaviors with ones that work and build a life worth living.
