Does it feel like there is a dark cloud hanging over you and it is affecting many aspects of your life? Are you overwhelmed with life circumstances? Does it seem like you cannot catch a break? Are you seeking resolution? I would love to help you find that.
My name is Brittany Wingfield. I work with individuals who have experienced trauma, anxiety, depression, or other hardships. No matter what you have experienced, it is important and I commend you for having the strength to pursue counseling.
A safe space and judgment free space is present for the individuals that I meet with. I cater every session to meet each individual's needs. Counseling is a collaborative process between the therapist and individual and a journey which can bring remarkable changes. The counseling process should be exactly what the individual would like it to be, as the process truly belongs to the person seeking out therapy.
I am trained in EMDR Therapy and integrate EMDR into Therapy sessions with individuals who would benefit from this form of therapy!

Had a Negative Therapy Experience?
It saddens me that you have had a negative experience. Deciding to go to therapy is not always an easy process, so to take that chance to trust someone and not have it be a good experience can be difficult. If you are willing to open up and share your story with someone, it should be valued. I hope that you can take that leap of faith and give counseling another try.
Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed
There can be a negative connotation attached to the word "Therapy". However, I truly believe the opposite of the message that is often associated with therapy. You are not weak for going to therapy, in fact you are strong for being willing to confront difficult areas of your life. This is not something that many people are able to do. Therapy can be difficult and encourage you to look at things that are impacting your life in a negative way. By taking a chance on therapy and seeing the benefits that can come from it, are absolutely fulfilling and can be life changing.
