My Approach to Helping

Do you feel the lingering depression and anxiety even though it's no where near as bad as it was? Is it time to deal with all that stuff you've been trying to avoid? Stuffing down only works for so long; until the anxiety and spinning thoughts become overwhelming. Are you scrambling for anything to "make the feelings go away", leaving you panicky and feeling out of control? Naturally, we begin to question our self-worth. Together we'll get you feeling better about yourself, so you can feel better about your life.

"Breakdowns" typically don't happen out of the blue. We develop coping skills to get through the day that work really well! Until they don't. I provide the framework for you to understand these old patterns, so you can create more helpful, long-lasting, and effective ways of being for your life NOW. My hope for you is to regain your self-confidence, decrease anxiety, and feel less fearful of your emotions; so you GET BACK CONTROL OF YOUR LIFE.

More Info About My Practice

I take a holistic perspective to therapy. I believe that all aspects of our life impact emotional, mental, and physical well-being. I view healing through this lens and value strengthening the mind-body connection. I use a variety of interventions that are best suited for your needs including EMDR therapy and mindfulness interventions. My clients appreciate my down-to-earth and directive approach. I offer flexible scheduling Monday through Friday and am conveniently located in the Highlands between LoHi, Berkeley, and Sunnyside.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

I specialize in anxiety treatment, trauma therapy, and individual relationship counseling. Often one, or more, of these issues impact us having a "breakdown". I have advanced training in EMDR therapy to treat trauma and anxiety. If you are ready to get to the root of what's causing you pain and create a more peaceful way of being, I may be a good fit for you.

My Role as a Therapist

I view the therapeutic process as collaborative. My role as a facilitator of change is to give you the tools and confidence to show up authentically outside of my office. My job is to help you identify blocks, gain insight, and to provide you with education to help you better understand your experience. You set your goals and together we will work towards meeting them. Through the genuine and authentic connection that therapy offers, healing and growth can occur. I am here to guide you, walk beside you, laugh with you, cry with you, and support you on your journey.
