Has your child or teen been more sad or irritable lately? Have you noticed a change in their behavior at school or socially? Do you feel like you've tried everything to help them and nothing is working and you are left feeling overwhelmed and frustrated?

So often children and teenagers act out as a way of dealing with change, loss, sadness, or low self-esteem. As a child and teen therapist, I am dedicated to helping young people to overcome personal struggles that may be preventing them from feeling good about their life. I offer a safe, non-judgmental environment to children and adolescents, where they can express themselves, feel empowered and gain the skills they need to deal with any future obstacles they may encounter.

I also recognize that in any family, a person's behavior can have a huge impact on others; therefore, I am committed to helping members get along better, and understand how to support one another.

Please call or email me to learn more about how I may be able to help your child and family. I look forward to speaking with you!

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

As a therapist, I am passionate, supportive, and hands-on. I find that I am easily able to build a connection with children and teens and they look forward to coming in and speaking with me each week. I have expertise in working with children and teens who have experienced physical and/ or sexual abuse. I work with families to further understand what their child may be going through, and together we work to regain normalcy and peace within the family. I am also knowledgable in working with children and teens who are experiencing bullying, a decrease in self-esteem, behavioral issues and anxiety due to various reasons.

Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed

I understand that making the decision to seek out a therapist for your child can be stressful and at times overwhelming. Perhaps you are fearful of asking for help, nervous about your child being "labeled" or you and your child did not have a good experience in the past when you attended counseling. I am here to tell you that these thoughts are normal;however, reaching out for help is something to be proud of. It takes a strong individual to recognize that they are unable to figure out their child's problems on their own. It is important to me that you and your child have a good experience in therapy and within a few sessions of working together I believe that you will begin to see the wonderful benefits that therapy can offer your child and your family.
