Life is a story, a novel, our own little masterpiece. Yet, we can often feel as though our story is stuck on the same themes of despair, hopelessness, grief, shame, self-loathing, anxiety, and loneliness. Our masterpiece can feel like a cruel joke with each chapter offering more of the same with no escape. Maybe you've tried to pick up the pen and write new words, but you defeatedly continue scribbling the same sentences. Together, we can make sense of your story so that you can change the next words, the next sentences, the next chapters. Together, we can find beauty in the mess and hope among the pain.

"You begin to string words together like beads to tell a story... It is a matter of persistence and faith and hard work. So you might as well go ahead and get started." Anne Lammot

More Info About My Practice

I have four years of clinical experience in relational psychodynamic therapy with teens, college/grad students, and middle-age adults struggling with depression, anxiety, abuse, identity issues, and grief. Additionally, I have three years of training in DIR Floortime to practice play therapy with families who have special needs children.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

I have spent time researching sexual abuse and how it impacts girls/women psychologically, physically, spiritually, and socially, as well as the traits that contribute to resiliency. Through my work and education, I have also worked with people struggling with eating disorders, sexual identity, grief, shame, depression, and anxiety.
