More Info About My Practice
I help women heal old wounds and patterns so they can reclaim their power and voice in life. As women growing up in a world where "locker room talk" is so easily dismissed and normalized, we ALL have stories of times we've been marginalized, traumatized, or disrespected in some way.
Past wounds exacerbated by these prevalent attitudes contribute to current issues in relationships, self-esteem, self-doubt, workplace issues, chronic anxiety, depression, perfectionism, eating disorders, people-pleasing and/or chronic physical health symptoms.
Compassionate and non-judgmental, I provide a safe space to unload, recenter and recharge. Using a variety of techniques and practices, I will help you identify and clear away the old noise & debris of inherited messages, attend to your emotional wounds, and help release you from the grips of old blocks. Together we will reprioritize and re-strategize based on your unique strengths, passions, and values towards a vision that energizes you.
Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With
Helping women heal old wounds
Relationship issues - intimate, familial, social, workplace
Helping women find their voice
Acculturation challenges - adjusting to new living and/or working environments
My View on the Nature of 'Disorders'
We all face challenges as humans- relationship difficulties, how to honor one's own needs with consideration to those around us, balancing personal life and career, the many demands and expectations of our time and energy, navigating difficult situations, trying to be our best selves and make decisions we feel good about. This is life. Though suffering may be a part of it, many issues don't necessarily warrant a diagnosis as a "disorder." At the same time, we are constantly navigating the tension between order and chaos (or disorder) and that is not such a bad thing. It's called creative living.
People need encouragement, validation, and acceptance in being who they are more than a diagnosis. Offering a compassionate perspective, experience and wisdom can help us get out of the stuck places when our own views may be temporarily clouded. We all have room to grow and we learn from each other.
I strive to provide a safe, non-judgmental place to allow you vent, let your guard down, process, and explore, where you can be who you are and be encouraged to be and trust your wonderful self.
