British therapist trained in London, UK with over 19 years of experience in the health care sector, working in London, Singapore and Dubai.
In the same way that a person can feel stuck by an idea, a person can feel stuck by being unable to express themselves. My approach uses creative thinking and expressive reflection to facilitate change and growth, where a person will increase their own personal insights and understanding.
This can serve to increase self-awareness and resilience, bringing about a change that is long lasting, as you will have the skills to make more effective relationships in work and personal life.
We will focus on helping the client develop a more positive outlook to their future by focusing on the present situation and presenting issue. We will explore the ways the person has dealt with obstacles in the past and how to take a more fulfilling route. Thus a person can enact change and discover new ways of looking at the world.

How Psychotherapy Can Help
Psychotherapy is about learning more about yourself in relation to a trained practitioner. A therapists role is to guide your journey of self exploration and be aware of any negative of patterns of behaviour that we repeat. Therapy can help you readdress this balance by helping you to apply positive strategies and develop more resilience to life challenges.
Another approach that I use is Art Psychotherapy which is an effective method to help children and adults who struggle to communicate how they feel. According to neuroscience research the creative arts and play can be an effective method of exploring feelings that are stored in the right side of the brain that are hard to communicate.
Very often using expressive approaches can be extremely effective way of reaching core issues such as attachment difficulties and trauma, with the creative and restorative process of making art enabling the healing process, Allowing you to explore and express how you feel in a soothing, real and tangible way.
On the Fence About Going to Therapy?
Sometimes it is difficult to ask for help when we are used to coping alone. Well this is a chance to express how you feel to an independent, non-judgmental person who can give you advice and support to find solutions.
Essentially therapy is about helping a person, by using an approach that is nurturing and empowering. Therapy is your time, nobody elses'? So why not spend some time on yourself.
Taking time out for therapy may well be the most sensible thing you ever did as it can help you take control of your situation and make a lasting positive influence on others. It can change your life for the better.
How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist
Being a good therapist is about being self-aware about ourselves and our own obstacles.
These traits in life make us stronger, if we admit that no person is an island, and sometimes reaching for help can be a sign of strength and that we are ready to make a change.
