I believe that as human beings we are designed for relationships, and that these important connections to others have a strong impact on us as individuals. Similarly, difficult times of personal stress or transition often strain our relationships as well. Although good relationships take hard work, I believe they can be a source of great strength and joy.

We all face challenges at times when it can be helpful to have someone to support us as we move forward, and as a therapist I will help you to define what you want and then work with you toward positive change.

I am trained as a family systems therapist and I particularly enjoy working with couples who want greater closeness and connection with each other. Additionally, I have a special interest in working with couples who are facing issues related to fertility and its many related difficulties.

More Info About My Practice

I currently accept private-pay only and I am not contracted with any insurance companies. This gives you more control over your treatment as well as additional privacy. Insurance companies require a mental health diagnosis which may not be appropriate in your circumstance, and many do not cover family or couples therapy.

If you would like, I can provide you with a receipt that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement as an "out of network provider". Please check with your insurance company to determine if services will be covered.

Initial intake appointment (90 minutes): $90

Individual, couple, or family session (50 minutes): $60

Extended couple or family session (90 minutes): $90

My View on the Purpose of Psychotherapy

I believe the primary purpose of psychotherapy is to be a resource for support during difficult times. It is a place of safety where we can talk things out, seek additional perspectives, and experience moments of realization and change. Therapy can help and support us as we find the strength that comes from ourselves and our connection to the people we love.

On the Fence About Going to Therapy?

Many people are hesitant or unsure about starting therapy, especially if it is their first time seeing a therapist and they do not know what to expect. I offer a free 30-minute phone consultation to discuss your needs, answer questions, and help determine if we are a good fit for therapy.

How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist

My passion for working with couples facing fertility issues is largely due to my own experiences with infertility. I know from my personal experience and from the stories others have shared with me that many of these couples feel isolated and suffer in silence. I am also aware of the difficulties related to an infertility diagnosis, such as strain on the couple relationship, going through fertility treatments, considering adoption, etc.
