I have over 20 years of professional experience in the behavioral health and chemical dependency fields. I provide mental health care for people with depression, stress, grief and loss, anxiety, posttraumatic stress, and adjustment issues. My area of expertise involves developing addiction and relapse prevention strategies, and helping individuals experiencing concerns with transgender, identity, and LBGTQ issues.
I firmly believe each person deserves the opportunity to express his or her true self and reach his or her full potential. My extensive clinical background includes treating teenagers, children, families, and individuals with fetal alcohol spectrum issues who have a strong history of working with educators involved in the Individualized Education Program.
I welcome people of different races, genders, age groups, cultures, and sexual orientations. My own personal experiences have taught me the value of strong, positive relationships in promoting healing. I provide a secure, comfortable setting where you may safely explore your issues and find lasting relief. How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist

With many years in the field of psychotherapy I have strived to help others who have experienced hardships in life to once again embrace life as it is meant to live.

Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed

I have heard many say including myself many years ago, that therapy is a sign of weakness and one should be able to manage life. The previous statement, in my belief, is far from the truth because I have seen many return to a balanced life after experiencing and applying skills learned within a therapy session.
