Providing clients with a professional, warm and supportive therapeutic environment is a strong feature of my psychotherapy practice. I provide empathy and insight coupled with a high level of skill and range of interventions to help clients find and reach their goals for feeling and functioning better. I rely on established psycho-therapeutic principles and ethics that honor confidentiality, a client centered approach and a style that is grounded in empathy and attunement. More Info About My Practice

I engage clients in a friendly yet professional manner. Upon our initial work together I will listen and attune to clients' thoughts, feelings and concerns. We will identify presenting problems and goals for therapy as partners, including the issue of payment and billing policies. I choose to be an out of network provider with private insurance companies, however, I provide clients with a completed universal claim form to facilitate a smooth reimbursement process.

Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed

I believe that the act of making the choice of being in psychotherapy is a sign of strength and self empowerment. I recognize that the process of psychotherapy requires the willingness and ability to commit and invest valuable resources of emotion, time and money to improve a person's physical and emotional health. It requires a person to risk and engage in a professional (yet caring and supportive) relationship - with hope and determination that their thoughts, emotions, behaviors and all aspect of their life will improve. This process can easily be, at times, anxiety inducing, overwhelming and challenging. I provide a safe, nurturing and yet skill based experience for clients to find and build upon their strengths. I consistently help clients to reframe all of their self stigmatizing and negative self concepts throughout the psychotherapy process from the moment we first meet all the way through ending.
