I have a desire and passion to help people find ways to work through addictions and the disclosure of addictions. I have seen that often times what appears to feel like the "never-ending storm" can end up leading to the "rainbow"
I have years of experience working with individuals facing many issues and I'm passionate about providing efficient and effective care. Through my experience I've learned how to effectively offer treatment that results in outcomes. I believe that there is always hope, and that accomplishing dreams and wholeness is always possible and that "anything can always be different".

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With
I'm passionate about working with women and men who have anxiety. There is hope, the feeling of "stuck and helpless" can become a thing of the past, and you are not alone!
I also am skilled at walking with men and women through the disclosure process of a sexual addiction. It can be the most terrifying, difficult, painful time in both people's lives, however, it can also be the most rewarding and deepening experience. With personal experience, I've seen the pain and I've seen the gain and I am passionate about helping others through this process.
Importance of the Client-Therapist Alliance
I have the belief that the last place any biases belong is in therapy. As a licensed marriage and family therapist, I've been trained in guarding myself against my own biases and approaching each and every client as an individual believing and practicing that "anything can always be different" and that the client knows themselves best. I approach therapy knowing that "the client is the expert" and I make this evident in the language that I use. I believe that therapy can be a helpful component to healing in receiving the support in knowing that "somebody is on your side" and the way to achieve this is through the approach of viewing everybody, including myself, as an equal. I also only utilize personal stories if it is of benefit to the client as I know that it can be very frustrating and ruin rapport to have a therapist who talks often about themselves.
I believe that through this approach effective outcomes are possible.
