Billing and Insurance

I am an in-network provider for:

  • Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois

Fees: My session fees are $160 per therapy hour (53-55 minutes). I am in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO and am able to bill Blue Cross directly for therapy sessions. For those who have other insurance plans, I am able to provide a receipt for you to submit to your insurance company and may be able to assist with billing other plans as an out-of-network provider. For those paying out of pocket, if you are unable to afford my typical session fee, I am able to slide my fee down to a more manageable rate.

I specialize in individuals and couples who experience struggles with depression, anxiety, postpartum depression, transition and adjustment difficulties, communication and relationship struggles, and various women's issues. Sometimes it is not enough to find support from friends or family. With the help of a trained therapist, you can learn to understand and manage your thoughts and emotions more effectively, develop effective coping skills, and live a more personally fulfilling future. Taking the time and having the space to process our thoughts and focus on ourselves is essential to self-growth and healing. I received my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology in 2007 and I have been licensed as a Psychologist since 2008. I have extensive experience in working with men, women, couples, and families as they navigate through various life stages and challenges. My style is considered to be straightforward, supportive, compassionate, and oftentimes filled with humor (sometimes we all just need to laugh).

I offer weekend and weekday appointments to better allow flexibility with daytime work schedules. I am in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO. For other insurance plans, I am able to provide you with a receipt to submit to your insurance company. My out-of-pocket session fee is $160. However, for people who are unable to afford my typical fee, I do have some limited sliding scale slots where I can reduce the fee to make the cost more manageable for you.

I offer a free 30-minute consultation (either via phone or in-office) so we can have a chance to talk and you can ask me any questions you may have before we begin sessions.

Depression and Anxiety: Most people feel sad, down, or worried from time to time. However, when this sadness or worry begins to negatively impact your overall daily mood, lead to difficulties in your day-to-day functioning, or negatively impact your job or relationships with others, you may be experiencing depression or anxiety. We will work together to identify problematic areas and negative thoughts, identify behavioral patterns or recurrent themes in your life, and then discover different thinking, choices, and tools you can use to make genuine changes.

Perinatal and Postpartum Depression: While pregnancy and motherhood is an amazing journey, women are sometimes made to feel guilty or at fault if they are experiencing sadness, tearfulness, or feeling overwhelmed. The reality is that being pregnant and being a mom to a newborn can feel isolating, overwhelming, and can be quite stressful. I have helped new moms more effectively work through and better manage their emotions, develop effective coping strategies, and successfully manage their stress and feelings both during pregnancy and following.

Relationships: Engaging in relationships with others can be amongst life's greatest joys or difficulties. Improving our relationships with those around us involves dedication, honesty, and commitment to change. I have helped many couples improve their communication, develop a greater understanding of one another, and resolve difficult issues.
