Life can undoubtedly be a challenge for everyone. Sometimes, we need some guidance and perspective, and other times, things can get so difficult that we feel entirely out of control and unable to handle any amount of stress. Regardless of your level of struggle, professional help can make the difference between overwhelming years of suffering and a manageable shorter period of pain and self-improvement.

In life, I strongly believe self-empowerment as the strongest tool to achieving the goals we want and get the life we deserve. I see it as my role to help you identify your own strengths, learn any skills you may be missing, and use them all intentionally toward the goals you want in your life. One goal may be to figure out what you want in your life, and that is okay. Sometimes the journey in therapy leads to learning more about ourselves, which can make all the difference.

I have worked with people of all different ages and walks of life, and would be honored to get to know your unique perspective. You are the expert of your own life, and together, we can figure out where you want to be, and help you get there.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

While I work with people struggling with many different types of problems, I specialize working with people who have experienced trauma.

Sometimes we experience events that we were never meant to experience, and our mind and body continue to react with fear thereafter. If you are attempting to live your life after trauma, let me help you find your new normal in a way that will let you find peace once again.

On the Fence About Going to Therapy?

Choosing to start therapy is a brave decision. Not only does engaging in therapy sometimes mean that you start to feel worse before you feel better, but you are also agreeing to tell a stranger some very private information about yourself. Choosing to go to someone and face the things you have been pushing into a dark corner of your mind can be scary and certainly unappealing. The benefit of therapy is that once you are able to face that darkness, you will be able to release yourself from the prison of that negativity with the support of someone who is skilled to help you in that path.

Have you had a bad experience going to therapy in the past? A big part of what makes therapy work is the relationship between yourself and the therapist you see. An important variable is that you are comfortable and can be honest with the person you are hiring to help you. Keep in mind that it is your life and your therapy, and you get to dictate who has the privilege to work with you.

Don't give up on getting the help you need, even if the first therapist you meet is not the right one.
